The Centre's auditoriums, conference, breakaway and function rooms can accommodate groups of between 10 and 450 people. 700 Delegates can be accommodated in parallel sessions and up to 1000 guests can be accommodated for cocktail-type events. The two larger auditoriums have schoolroom style seating with raked floors, podiums, soundproof interpreting and press booths as well as digital congress network units between each two seats. Seating and set-up in the other conference and function venues is flexible and provided according to organisers' requirements. Reception, registration and refreshment facilities with adjacent exhibition space are provided in the Centre's foyers outside each venue entrance.

Catering

The experienced team of chefs at the Centre offers great menus with a distinctive flair. Gastronomical delights abound from pastries to buffets and plated meals, cocktail fare, barbeque functions and gala banquets. Religious and medical dietary requirements are catered for with ease and the Centre's Executive Chef takes great pleasure in creating personalised menus to suit each individual clients requirements. The Centre prides itself on its competitive pricing and its ability to adapt to individual needs.

The CSIR International Convention Centre has a programme in place to train people from previously disadvantaged communities in skills required for employment in the catering industry. Many of the trained individuals are then employed by the CSIR on a full-time or part-time basis, or they apply for jobs elsewhere using their newly acquired skills. Another arm of the Centre's community service is the donation of food or consumables that are not used during an event to charities in and around Pretoria. These donations are made on a regular basis on behalf of the event host, who is credited by name for the contribution.

Directions from North (travelling on N1 South)

NB: Please note that there is currently no off ramp from the north onto Lynwood Road, one is currently under construction, it is therefore necessary to take the Atterbury Road off ramp and double back to Lynwood Road to exit onto Lynwood from the south.

Pass under the Lynnwood Road Bridge
Take the Atterbury Road turnoff
Turn right into Atterbury Road and stay on the left hand side of Atterbury Road
Take the N1 north slipway back onto the highway, you will now be travelling north
Take the Lynwood Road turnoff
Turn right over the highway
Turn left at the first robot into Meiring Naude Road
Cross over one robot (Kings Highway)
Turn right into the first entrance, which is the CSIR south gate
Keep left and follow the signs to the CSIR International Convention Centre
Please note that it is not necessary to stop at the visitors reception area.
