KoelenRust Estate is the perfect venue for mini-conferences, workshops, informal boardroom meetings, product launches, staff training, think tanks, training and bosberade.

What makes it unique? Your company will have exclusive use of the entire lodge during the time of the conference. The conference room is situated in the garden which will ensure total privacy and seclusion from the outside world.

We offer stylish conferencing facilities at realistic prices. The conference room can accommodate up to 60 day delegates or 24 overnight delegates (sharing). Extra accommodation can also be arranged at neighbouring venues if required for a bigger overnight group. The venue can be subdivided into two separate conference or function units. 

Our Lodge is also ideally situated for guests attending weddings in the area, informal wedding receptions, corporate functions, or simply for a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life.

KoelenRust Estate offers you a natural hide-away from the nearby cities, a haven personally developed by the owners as a retreat for their guests. Surrounded by a vast garden amongst huge trees, you will experience peace and tranquillity that will create the frame of mind for very productive meetings and relaxation.

It is situated in a unique peaceful setting, adjacent to the Cradle of Humankind and in the heart of the Crocodile Ramble, with its arts and crafts, game farms and caves. Lanseria International Airport is close-by (10 minutes drive) and Johannesburg or Pretoria is only 30 minutes drive away.

Meals and teas are served in the open air Boma or in the Lapa next to the pool. These areas are also ideal for team building or break away group sessions. We can also provide you with a full cash bar should you wish to enjoy drinks late afternoon after a hard day's work. Other activities can include a game drive in one of the nearby game Reserves.

We cater for conferences with a country feeling, informal dinner evenings, wedding receptions and small garden functions. Traditional South African meals are served or guests can create their own menu from a basic list of buffet menus with starters, main courses and desserts for their function.

Accommodation consists of country style cottages and rustic garden rooms. It comprises of 2 thatch roof cottages and 8 standard garden rooms, all elegantly furnished in a rustic country style to compliment the surrounds. The luxury executive suite (perfect for a bridal couple) is on the upper floor in the Main House, with unforgettable views of the gardens, the pool and the Magaliesberg Mountains.

1. FROM PRETORIA (TSWANE)

Take the N14 highway to Krugersdorp (N14). Turn off at the Zwartkop/Randburg off ramp (+/- 50km from Pretoria). Turn right at stop sign onto the Zwartkop road. Follow road for +/- 4 km.¨ Turn right at the KoelenRust board. The gravel road makes a fork after 200m – keep right. Cross small bridge. Follow road which makes a turn to the left on the hill. Keep straight for 300m up to the KoelenRust entrance board on the left.

2. FROM ROODEPOORT

Take Hendrik Potgieter Drive to Tarlton. Turn right at robot onto the Krugersdorp/ Pretoria Highway (N14). Take the Zwartkop off ramp (the road makes a hairpin bend to the left). Turn right at the stop sign on the Zwartkop road (in a western direction). Follow road for +/- 4 km.- Follow directions from ¨ sign under Pretoria directions

3. FROM NORTHCLIFF, JOHANNESBURG

Take Beyers Naudé Drive in a western direction. Drive down Beyers Naude Drive past Honeydew and Garden World. Drive over Krugersdorp/Pretoria Highway (N14). Follow road for +/- 4 km.- Follow directions from ¨ sign under Pretoria directions

4. FROM RANDBURG.

Drive down Malibongwe Drive, past Kya Sands and over Krugersdorp/Pretoria Highway (N14). After the Total garage on your left, turn left into Elandsdrift Rd, drive down for 7 km. Turn left at T Junction and drive for 5 km – drive past Ekudeni and Moon & Sixpence. Turn left at KoelenRust signboard on the gravel road. - Follow directions from ¨ sign under Pretoria directions

5. FROM FOURWAYS OR SANDTON.

Drive Down Cedar Rd, past Broad Acres and Dainfern respectively, until the T-junction. Turn left and immediately right, drive over the Krugersdorp Highway, until the T-junction. Turn left and first right on to Elandsdrift Rd. Drive down the road for 7 km and turn left at the T-junction and drive for 5 km – drive past Ekudeni and Moon & Sixpence. Turn left at KoelenRust signboard on the gravel road. - Follow directions from ¨ sign under Pretoria directions
