DUNGBEETLE RIVER LODGE is your entry point to the world famous Addo National Elephant Park and some of the finest game reserves in the Eastern Cape. Situated on the banks of the Sundays River, this 4 star lodge had 6 up market tastefully decorated rooms creating an African Colonial ambience. Magnificent decks provide you with sweeping river views, a perfect backdrop to your big five game viewing. A scrupmptious full Farm Breakfast that includes home baked bread, piping hot muffins and fresh fruit juice is served every morning. Canoes, cycles and fishing tackle available. Hike the famous Alexandria Dune fields, or swim the river. No crocodiles, malaria, sharks. Safe secure owner run Lodge. Although our Lodge is in a small villiage, it is only 30 minutes away from Port Elizabeth, the airport, and any entertainment normally offered by such a large city. Blue Flag beaches etc. etc.

Directions to accommodation
The Port of entry for many tourists would be Port Elizabeth, 40 km away. Follow the N2 towards Grahamstown. Look out for the new Coega
harbour works, then the bridge over the Sundays river. Within 2 km you will see The Cannonville/Colchester signage : turn right. Right again at T junction, over speed bump 1st turning left. We have a flag pole, right in front of you.

From Grahams town on the N2 towards Port Elizabeth, 90 km away is the wide Sundays river on your left hand side. Pass the B.P. Garage, approximately 1km on your left hand side is the Cannonville/Colchester turn off. Right at T junction, over speed bump and first turning left. We will be right in front of you..see the flag pole!

Cradock and Port Alfred. Once you join the N2, it is about another 16km to the Colchester/Cannonville turn off :by now you would have already seen the river on your left hand side, and passed a B.P. garage. Turn left, then right at the T junction, over the speed bump, first left. We will be in front of you. Watch out for the Flag pole!!
