Pumula is a working grain and cattle farm 7km outside Fouriesburg in the Eastern Free State highlands. The region boasts fantastic scenery, may various outdoor activities and Anglo/Boer Ware history. It is situated in the Brandwater Basin south of Bethlehem and on the border with Lesotho. Clarence and Golden Gate are 15 to 20 minutes drive away and snow skiing some 80km into Lesotho. The accommodation is spread over three luxurious chalets. The Bull’s Nose has four bedrooms plus a fold out couch and caters for between 8 and 10 people. Two of the bedrooms are en suite. There is a third bathroom plus a separate guest toilet. The Bush House has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds. There is a separate bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and basin. The White House has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other wit 2 single beds. There is a separate bathroom with shower, toilet and basin. All the chalets are fully equipped and include bedding and bath towels. They all have open fireplaces and their own braai facilities. Fresh milk and eggs are included in the package. In season vegetables and fruit grown on the farm are also available.

Directions to accommodation
The shortest route from Johannesburg is via Frankfort although the road is not as good as the N2. Fly off just before the Tollgate. Just after Frankfort as you have crossed the Wilge River you must fork off to the left towards Tweeling.
An alternative route is via Warden.
From Gauteng all routes go through Bethlehem.
On entering Bethlehem pass through two robots, the second has a Wimpy on the left.
At the four-way stop turn right into Eeufees road, which later becomes Church/Kerk Street.
Keep left and pass through five robots.
At the sixth robot, Commissioner Street, turn left. Continue with this road, R26, to Fouriesburg – 46 km.
Pass the first entrance to Fouriesburg, down a hill and turn left on the R711 to Clarens.
Approximately 800m up the hill turn right to Caledonspoort.
Approximately 1,2km turn right onto the S344 dirt road.
Approximately 5km turn right into Pumula – terracotta walls and green gate. Carry on straight and over the dam wall, turn left and follow the road up the slope to the Clubhouse/Reception.
