Accommodation Venue - Plumari Game
Lodge ( Game Lodges & Resorts Accommodation
in Magaliesberg / Gauteng / South Africa )
Situated on Plumari Africa Private Game Reserve,
adjacent to the world-reknown Cradle of Humankind and less than
one hour from Johannesburg or Sun City, Plumari Game Lodge provides
a unique opportunity to experience history, wildlife and pure
getaway bliss. Plumari Africa reserve (circa 5,000 acres) boasts
a significant array of wildlife (including 4 of the big 5 - and
with Lions expected late 06/ early 07 then the Big 5 will be on
your doorstep!) and sits beneath the Magaliesberg mountain range
providing a tranquil yet awe-inspiring setting. 18 suites overlook
the elephant dam and main reserve. We have an acclaimed on-site
chapel (140 pax) with massive Gala Hall and open air amphitheatre
for a sensational wedding/ function. Our main conference facility
caters for up to 36 delegates around tables and 50 cinema style
and our Gala Hall doubles as a grand conference centre for up
to160 pax. For those that wish to stimulate their minds, stroll
through our history museum viewing historic memorabilia from stone
age tools and thousand year old San bushman carvings found on
the Reserve to viewing one of the largest private collections
of ox wagons and carts in SA. For those that wish to stimulate
their bodies, we offer our small plunge pool, hiking or a session
with our beauty/ relaxation consultant. If more exercise or adrenaline
is required, in close proximity is clay pigeon shooting, archery,
paint-balling, horse-riding, fishing and hot-air ballooning. Or,
just be captivated by the game drives or elephant experience (learn
about, touch, feed and even ride)... Your hosts will be delighted
to cater to your every need. If you require information or assistance
with tours, transport, outings or just general help please let
us know. Also note we are in a Malaria-free area and don't worry
when to come, the weather is perfect all year round.
The Suites
The thatched roofed suites have one main living area with double
or twin beds, a fireplace, mini-bar, an en-suite with shower and
a large bath-tub with most overlooking the Elephant dam (although
the Elephant's like to think their dam overlooks the guests bathrooms!).
De Lux suites contain DSTV.
The Restaurant and Bar
Let our executive chef conjure up some Plumari delights in the
a la carte restaurant. You can dine in the main dining hall, on
the patio overlooking the elephant dam or in the lapa under the
stars'.
The bar has a 74 cm TV with full DSTV functionality. To be honest
we think that the sports channel will likely prevail in here.
We suggest you stroll out onto the patio by the pool with your
drink and take in the 'ambience'
There is a mezzanine TV room in the main lodge with 2 further
sets (one for sports and one for other viewing.)
Conference Centre
Our fully equipped main centre is ready for up to 36 delegates
around tables and 50 cinema style - perfect for small conference
outings, business or board meetings and alike.
The centre is around 7m by 6m and contains flipcharts, large whiteboard,
overhead projector, 17 inch PC with printer and fax facilities.
Further equipment can be arranged if required.
Our secondary facility is the main Gala Hall with stage and roaring
fireplace which can seat 160 pax.
Graded 4 stars by TGCSA. Highly recommended by AA,
member of SAACI and SATSA.
