The Kilimanjaro Guest House is a Bed and Breakfast
facility ideally suited for the Business Executive and tourist
traveller on an exploration tour of Mpumalanga. It is situated
in a quiet suburb of the town of Middelburg called Eastdene which
lies east of the Central Business District. It is out of town,
yet in town. Out of town in the sense that it is located in a
tranquil residential area just on the outskirts thereof but also
in town in that its proximity to the Central Business District
makes services such as banks and supermarkets easily accessible
and therefore very convenient for our guest’s urgent needs.
The bedrooms include a splendid self contained executive room
with a double bed, a bath, shower and toilet, a television, an
executive chair for relaxation and a working table for the busy
executive who needs to work while on the road. There are also
several splendid and very clean rooms with twin beds for those
travelling as a pair.
Our popular LAPA offers our visitors the kind of environment
that is really conducive to complete relaxation with its cooling
effect, especially on very hot days. Its multi-purpose character
ensures that those utilising it get full value for their money.
It can be used as a BRAAI area, a tea and coffee place during
conferences, a rendezvous for sports lovers who often gather under
its shade to watch big matches and even as a venue for meetings
for groups of between 15 and 20 people.
Then there is the convertible conference room which is also used
as a bar. This room can sit up to 25 people in a seminar or workshop
especially those who need to discuss matters in detail without
any disturbances. What is good about our conference room is that
when the work is over and done with, it easily gets converted
into a bar simply opening the bar curtains. What a convenience.
Because Middelburg is situated halfway between Johannesburg and
the Kruger National Park, the Kilimanjaro Guest House offers the
ideal halfway station for lunch and rest as it lies only 5 km
off the N4 highway. Dinners and lunches are offered at the Guest
House for any number of people and travellers provided that prior
arrangements are made at least on the morning on which such lunch
will be required.
Most of all, our Guest House gives our visitors a complete peace
of mind because it is secure. Sufficient parking is available
for the number of rooms available and our yard has a solid fence
with gates that are fully locked over night.
The KILIMANJARO GUEST HOUSE is indeed the right place to be in
