Accommodation Venue - Inkwazi House
( Hotel Accommodation in Marloth Park / Mpumalanga
/ South Africa )
Experience a personal and intimate encounter with
the wildlife of Africa. Inkwazi House is situated in Marloth Park
in the eastern lowveld area of the Mpumalanga Province and between
the Malelane (35 km) and Crocodile Bridge (10 km) gates of the
Kruger National Park. It is about 4 hours drive from Johannesburg
and only 1 hour from the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport.
The house accommodates up to 10 persons and is fully equipped
for a self catering holiday. With the house a mere 100m from the
Crocodile River, southern border of the world renowned Kruger
National Park, why not wake up to the distinctive cry of the African
Fish Eagle ('Inkwazi' in Zulu), which symbolises the wild freedom
of the African bush and is visible to you through the bedroom
window. With the sunrise, a cacophony of bird calls mingle with
the Fish Eagle's cry setting up a symphony to lure you down to
the river bank where you can spend hours on end bird watching
or just gazing at the Hippopotamus, Buffalo, Rhinoceros, Elephant
or whatever else may be playing in the river! For game viewing
just relax on the balcony and watch the game walking through the
garden and sipping water from the waterhole in front of the house.
Laugh at Warthogs in the mud or feel the breath of a Zebra so
close will it come to you. On hot summer days get into the splash
pool with a cocktail and just wash your lungs with the crisp African
air. When hunger kicks in you can prepare your food in the well
equipped kitchen or have a traditional bush barbeque or braai
in the lapa. While you gaze into the fire and experience the freedom
of the African bush you can forget about your cares and experience
a wonderful release of tension and anxiety, so that you can go
home refreshed and rejuvenated. From here you may want to study
the incredibly clear stars against the southern heaven as they
invite you with their twinkles. Feel the chill of your spine as
you hear the roar of a Lion signalling his kill and the feast
awaiting him, or the eerie laugh of a spotted Hyena taunting the
King of the Jungle. This rugged harsh holiday town is home to
more than 300 bird species, Giraffe, Impala, Zebra, Nyala, Kudu,
Wildebeest, Lion, Waterbuck, Leopard, Cheetah, Hyena, Jackal and
many many more animals. With easy access to Mozambique and Swaziland
you are home to some of the most amazing areas in the world. You
can take a self drive trip through the game rich southern areas
of Kruger, or you can go on day and night drives with professional
game guides and trackers. Malelane, Skukuza and Komatipoort golf
courses are also close by.
