Mothabeng Guest Lodge & Conference Centre is situated 40kms North of Hartbeespoort Dam in pristine bushveld terrain approximately 90 minutes driving time from Johannesburg and Pretoria. The Pilanesberg National Park and Sun City are a mere 40 minutes away.

The location of Mothabeng "On-The-Hill" provides the perfect weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city and is central to many prime Northern Province tourist sites.

For those who find the energy for more than just relaxing, we can arrange a visit to the Cheetah and Elephant sanctuary's located nearby. Visit the Hartbeespoort Dam flea market, the cheese factory, go for a ride in a Hot-Air Balloon or participate in clay pigeon shooting. This is but a small selection of the many activities that are available.

In keeping with the Mothabeng 4 Star rating, all rooms are luxuriously appointed, chose between the executive / honeymoon suite, executive / business suite, deluxe "sharing" suites, luxury log cabins with veranda's that overlook the bushveld, luxury tented unit and our single accommodation rooms.

Facilities include a thatched lapa entertainment area, heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi deck, two lounges and exceptional dining facilities. We also have a fully equipped conference centre, bush boma and teambuilding area.

Directions to accommodation
From Sandton, travel North past 4 Ways shopping centre along
William Nichol Drive. Proceed past the Indaba Hotel and Diepkloof towards
Hartbeespoort Dam on the R511.

>From the West Rand, drive to the 4 Way Stop on the Krugersdorp / Pretoria
Freeway (R28) and proceed towards Pretoria (East). Take the Lanseria
Turn-Off (R512). Travel past the Lanseria airport turn-off and continue
until you reach a "T" Junction. Turn right and travel past Pelindaba. After
the solitary traffic light on this road you reach a 4 way stop, turn left,
travel past the N4 on/off ramps, at the next "T" Junction turn Left onto the
R511 and proceed as per below.

>From Pretoria, there are multiple routes, see the attached map. The new N4
toll road to Rustenburg is a good option. Alternately, the N4 toll road to
Hartbeespoort is ok, directions from Hartbeespoort Dam are detailed below.

Travel to Hartbeespoort Dam and follow the Brits sign posts that by-pass the
Dam Wall (the route over the wall is slightly longer). Proceed directly
through Brits on the R511 (don't take any turn-off's). Once through Brits
you cross the Crocodile River. Continue +/- 10km PAST Brits until you see a
sign post on the left indicating a turn to Bethanie. The first Mothabeng
direction board is also located at this turn. Turn Left as indicated (don't
go straight on as this will take you to Thabazimbi.... 130km away).

4,5km after turning there are more sign posts indicating a Left turn to
Bethanie and Mothabeng, Turn left here and travel a further 4.5km along this
road where (on a straight section) there is a Mothabeng sign post,
indicating a right turn on to a "Dirt" Road. Turn as indicated and travel
6km to the Mothabeng Lodge Gate which is Green and has a thatched canopy (on
the left hand side of the road)

Watch out for the final sign indicating Mothabeng, this is on a straight tar
road and is easy to miss. If you observe the distances detailed above, you
can't miss the turns.
If you reach Bethanie, you have gone to far.
