Accommodation for up to 30 persons is in 9 suites
of different sizes. They are all individually equipped with rustic
and comfortable furnishings.
The contents of each unit includes:
54-cm Colour TV
Bedside radio/alarm clock and a fan
Oil fin heater
Dining table and chairs
Lounge seating
Bedlinen, bathsheets and bath towels, and hot water bottles
Kitchen or kitchenette with electrical appliances (refrigerator,
stove, electric frying pan, sandwich maker, toaster, kettle),
utensils, crockery, cutlery. Hot trolley or hot tray
En suite bathroom (either bath or shower) equipped with bathroom
heaters and the Alphamouss dispensing system with soap, shampoo,
conditioner and shower gel
Braai facilities
CRESTED BARBET has 2 bedrooms; one with a queen size bed (which
can be converted into single beds) and a bath in its bathroom,
the other with twin beds and a shower in its bathroom. It has
a separate fully equipped kitchen including a four plate stove,
refrigerator, microwave oven, freezer, blender, etc., an open
plan living room with dining table and six chairs and also a lounge
suite. Included is a bunk bed for a fifth person. There is a jetmaster
fireplace in the living room. It has a covered patio with a table
and chairs.
BLACK SUNBIRD suite has a bedroom with queen size bed and a
shower in its bathroom. This unit has an adjoining L-shaped room
with bunkbeds in a recessed nook. However anyone sleeping here
would have to share the bathroom attached to the main bedroom.
This room also has a dining table and 4 chairs as well as a four-seater
lounge suite. It also has a kitchenette section.
AFRICAN HOOPOE adjoins the main house but has its own separate
entrance. It is a large L-shaped room with a double bed, 2 large
lounge chairs, a dining table seating two people and a kitchenette.
It has a bath in its bathroom.
BARN OWL is a thatched rondaval that adjoins the main house
but has its own separate entrance. It has a double bed, two armchairs
and a shower in its small bathroom. It has a second room which
has a kitchenette and dining table and chairs.
LILACBREASTED ROLLER has a bedroom with a double bed (which
can be converted into two single beds) and a shower in its bathroom.
It also has a second small bedroom with two single beds and a
shower in the bathroom. It has a living room with a dining table
and chairs, lounge seating and kitchenette section. It has its
own small fenced garden.
SWALLOWED-TAILED BEE-EATER has a large main bedroom with a with
a kingsize bed (which can be converted into two single beds) and
an ensuite bathroom with bath. An adjoining smaller bedroom can
accommodate 2 persons - a bathroom opposite this bedroom has a
shower. This suite has a lounge with furnishings that includes
two single bunk beds with cushions that also serve as couches
and a small Queen Ann coal stove. It has a combined dining room/kitchenette.
There is an outdoor covered patio.
MALACHITE KINGFISHER has a double bed in its bedroom and a shower
in its bathroom. It has a lounge with furnishings that include
a single bunk bed with cushions that serves as a couch. It also
has a combined kitchenette and dining room. There is a covered
patio with built in braai.
BLACKHEADED ORIOLE has a double bed in its bedroom and a shower
in its bathroom. It has a living room with dining facilities and
a kitchenette section. There is a built in bed which can accommodate
a child. It also has a covered patio and built in braai. This
unit does not have a view but has its own small, enclosed garden.
PARADISE FLYCATCHER has a kingsize bed in its bedroom and both
a bath and a shower in its bathroom. It has a small kitchenette.
It has a living room with a jetmaster fireplace, lounge seating
and a dining table and chairs. A child can be accommodated ion
a day bed in the lounge. It has an outside patio with a built
in braai. This unit has the best view of all the suites.
All units have self-catering facilities. The Crested Barbet
has a separate kitchen, whilst the other suites have kitchenettes.
These are each equipped with a stove, a refrigerator, a sink,
electrical appliances (toaster, kettle, electric frying pan, sandwich
maker hot trolley or hot tray), kitchen utensils, cutlery and
crockery.
