Rainbird is situated on a beautiful banana farm in the lush and scenic Malkerns Valley, between Mbabane and Manzini. The wooden, self-catering chalets are surrounded by tropical gardens frequented by duiker and offer all comforts. Enjoy generous breakfasts and the view from the patio overlooking the pool, dam and wetlands, the latter being home to wonderful birdlife and otters. There are good restaurants near by, golf, horse riding, fishing, white water rafting, game parks and numerous other activities.

Directions to accommodation
From either Johannesburg or Kruger Park, through Oshoek Border Post to Mbabane. In Mbabane, take the MR3 to Manzini/Ezulwini. Take the first left off-ramp - MR103 - Ezulwini/Malkerns. Continue on this road for about 18km and turn right onto the MR18 - Bhunya/Mankayane. 3km along this road, turn right onto a gravel which has the Rainbird sign post - 1km along this road turn right into the banana farm.

From Durban through Gollel Border Post, continue through Big Bend, Manzini and Matsapha. Do not take the flyover in Matsapha but take the left off-ramp at the bridge to Malkerns. Travel about 7km until you see a sign
MR18 - Bhunya/Mankayane - turn left (Rainbird sign is here). Travel 3km and turn right onto gravel road sign posted "Rainbird". 1km along this road turn right into the banana farm.
