Chez Batista's reputation for excellent service
is well known amongst its VIP-guests. Chez Batista's beach, one
of the best on the island, is renowned for great swimming and
snorkeling. On some days the coral banks and colorful fishes are
host to distinguished "special guests" such as Sea Turtles
and Dolphins!
A small pleasent hotel with 3 bungalows situated on Takamaka
beach front. Anse Takamaka in the south of Mahé enjoyes
the reputation of being one of the finest beaches on the major
island. The hotel offers 6 standard s towards the hillside
and 3 s in the garden ANNEX. The s are spacious with a
small terrace, IDD-phone, TV, Airconditioning, fan, minibar, coffee-/teamaker.
The shower and bidet have hot and cold running water. The water
is heated by solar energy. Laundry service and babysitter are
available on request.
History
In 1984 Mr. Jean-Baptiste Hortere started work as a beach
boy on Anse Takamaka. Eventuelly he only fished for his own, before
more and more guests on the beach were requenting his private
BBQ grill. In no time at all the guests were sitting under a sunshade
enjoying his fish and coconut drinks.Palmist salas and garlich
bread, and gradually Batista invented his own special sauce out
of exotic species from the base of cinnamon. The smell from the
BBQ make your mouth watered, the speciality was fresh fish and
lobster and out of his humble grill a small restaurant was born.
He lived just like Robinson Cruisoe.
Italien guests named the restaurant "Batista" and peu
a peu, Batista was a secret tip on Mahe Island. Today Batista
is considered to the number one seafood restaurant on Mahe and
is a meeting place for and international gourmets.
Today it is named Villas chez Batista, which represent one of
the best typical seychelles small hotel added to that on arrival
our client received a warm welcome with an exotic welcome drink
and also served in a bamboo. Every sunday we served a special
creole buffet for lunch On occasionally we have a moutia night
which is a traditional dance that you dance with Tam-Tam around
the fire on the beach.
