The four star graded Rosendal Winery & Wellness Retreat is situated on its own farm established already in 1805 with its first brandy cellar. It's 20 minutes away from towns like Montagu, McGregor and Robertson - and less than two hours drive from Cape Town. The hotel nestles in the tranquil Upper Klaas Vogds Valley. The oldest hotel buildings, dating back to early 1800-hundred, have been either painstakingly restored. Here the legendary elegance and traditions of the 18th century blend harmoniously with the most refined luxuries and conveniences of our modern age.

The estate boasts it 's own renowned, working winery, which produces a selection of fine wines. Guided tours and wine tasting are available on request. The view over our dam with the backdrop of the mountains provides the setting for Rosendals's Restaurant. Colonial style décor incorporates all the historical architectural features of the old winery.

The estate is owned by two Norwegian couples; Asbjørn Johannesen & Bente Anderssen and Geir Tellefsen & Sissel Anderssen. The owners are active overlooking the management and lives in South Africa.

Rosendal is located between Robertson and Ashton on the R60, famously known as the Route 62.

Coming from Cape Town

Drive out the City Center on the N1 for about one hour Follow signs for Worchester. In Worchester follow signs for Robertson on the R60 Pass Robertson on the way to Ashton, approx 7 km. Turn off to "Klaas Vogds West", follow the gravel road for 3 km to arrive at Rosendal.

Coming from Oudtshoorn

Follow the signs against R62, all the way to Montagu. In Montagu follow the R60 on the way to Ashton.
Follow the road on the way to Robertson. Turn off to "Klaas Vogds West", follow the gravel road for 3 km to arrive at Rosendal.
