An African Villa opened to no fanfare in the closing months of 2002 and is already proving near impossible to get in - the down side of combining superb value with exceptional style. A traditional double-story Victorian semi-detached house in Tamboerskloof, the 'villa' has been fabulously transformed by owner Jimmy van Tonder into what he describes as a Zen-Africa look - muted tones and earthy textures offset with playful
touches of vivid red.

The Villa has been enlarged and will offer 12 rooms (5 ‘Superior’ with balcony, 4 ‘Deluxe’and 3 ‘Luxury’) by December 2004. Some have mountain views. There is a plunge pool and off-street parking is on offer @ an additional cost when requested.

This is possibly the guesthouse with the fastest growing popularity in the city owing to it 's excellent situation (in a safe area, near many restaurants and within easy walking distance of the city and 5 minutes drive of Table Mountain, C. T. International Convention Centre, V&A Waterfront and 10 minutes drive some of the most beautiful breaches in the world. Personal advice about local attractions and the many secrets of the city on offer. A generous breakfast is included in the rates. Transfers and car hire are routinely arranged for guests.

Directions to accommodation
Follow signs to the Table Mountain Cableway until you reach the T-Junction at Buitengracht Street. Turn LEFT (still towards the cable way) and at the next traffic intersection (Tamboerskloof Pharmacy etc) turn right
and double back the way you cam down the one way. Second Street left is Carstens Street. An African Villa is on the left in the second block with the yellowwood tree.
