Attractive, semi detached, Victorian, character cottage
with four bedrooms (sleeps 5), two showers and two toilets and sunny eat-in
kitchen with lovely views of the mountain in quiet suburb above the Main
Road.
The cottage is fully furnished with linen provided, lounge (with TV - not
DSTV & DVD player), kitchen has stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing
machine & tumble dryer. A pre-paid phone is available. The back patio is
enclosed with braai facility, tabl e & chairs, small garden with herbs and
fruit trees and a secure carport. The enclosed front garden has lovely
mountain views and sunsets.
The house has burglar bars and a burglar alarm system with armed response.
The cottage is close to a nice shopping centre, restaurants and ~15mins from
the city centre, mountain, Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens, museums / art
galleries and the beach.
Directions to accommodation
Take the N2 and when Devil's Peak is right ahead of you watch for
the Mowbray/Hospital exit and take that. It is just before the N2 divides
into the M3 going south to Muizenberg and North to the City. After exiting
the N2 you come to a robot intersection. Turn right into Main Road Mowbray
and cross the bridge and take the 2nd turning left into George Street
(signposted "Lung Institute").
Stay in George Street until you get to Falmouth Road (3rd road) intersection
(with the Lung Institute directly ahead). Turn RIGHT into Falmouth Road and
you will pass some houses on the right (they look like the back doors to
houses!) and then a row of Victorian semi detached cottages (all on the
right - there are no houses on the left). No. 25 (Bougainvilea Cottage) is
the 2nd semi-detached Victorian cottage and about 75-100 meters from the
George Street / Falmouth Road intersection.
