and the whales of False Bay, Clovelly Lodge makes an ideal base

independence of our fully equipped Guest Apartments. Clovelly
Lodge apartments provide TGCSA graded 4-star accommodation in
a scenic setting bordering a wetland nature area just 5 minutes
walk from the beach. Sweeping views of mountains, valley &
sea. One, two and three bedroom apartments (some with wheelchair
access) have sofa-beds to sleep up to two extras, and larger groups
can usually be accommodated in adjacent units. Most rooms have
a choice of king or twin beds. Apartments have full or partial
sea views, satellite TV & fully equipped kitchens, pool, laundry,
secure parking & independent alarms. The decks, patios and
gardens around the house give each unit a private outdoor space
for braais (barbecues), eating al fresco, sipping sundowners or
just lounging around in the sunshine.Self-catering guests may
also arrange to have breakfast at the B&B Guest House (extra
charge applies). Clovelly Lodge is 20-30 mins drive from the city
centre and 30-40 minutes from the Airport. Walk to golf at the
Clovelly Country Club. Car hire and airport pick-up can be arranged.

Activities
The Winelands, Cape Point, V&A Waterfront, Robben Island,
Boulders african penguin colony Chapman's Peak, Simon's Town,
Kirstenbosh Botanical Gardens, Constantia and the famous restaurants
and bars of trendy Kalk Bay fishing village are all just a short
drive.Newlands rugby and cricket grounds are about 30 minutes
by car, as are Athlone and Greenpoint stadiums. Nearby beaches
of white sand and calm tidal pools offer some of Cape Tow's safest
swimming. Tennis, horse-riding, hiking, surfing, whale-watching,
shark-diving and other boat trips, fishing, diving and outstanding
scenic drives are vitually on the doorstep.Clovelly Lodge has
a salt-water pool and is just a 5 minute walk from the Clovelly/Fish
Hoek beach (arguably the Peninsula's safest, most popular bathing
beach) as well as a number of tidal pools for more sheltered swimming.
The mountains behind Clovelly have excellent hiking as well as
pot-holing, climbing and caving.The Clovelly Country Club's championship
18-hole golf-course is just next door - Simon's Town, Westlake
and Steenberg golf-courses are just 10 minutes
drive.
Directions to accommodation
From Cape Town International Airport,follow the N2 towards central
Cape Town and turn left onto the M3 signposted Muizenberg and/or
(depending on which sign you're looking at) 'Kirstenbosch'/'Rhodes
Drive'.
Follow this road all the way to the end (10-15 minutes). From
the end of the M3 (which goes past Rondebosch, Newlands, Constantia,
Tokai) go left towards Muizenberg. Take the main road along the
coast, through Muizenberg and Kalk Bay.
Boyes Drive offers a scenic alternative (with stunning views
of the Indian Ocean and False Bay) and brings you out at the end
of Kalk Bay (from the end of Boyes Drive turn right).
Take the turning into Clovelly Road sign-posted 'Clovelly') opposite
the beach, immediately after Kalk Bay (before Fish Hoek). Take
your first left into Montrose Avenue and follow the road to the
B&B guest house at the end where you will register. Please
arrange an arrival time before you come so we can ensure someone
is available to check you in and show you across to your apartment.
