Bask in the sun like a lizard. Swim in a huge pool
at the foot of Table Mountain. Relax amongst palms in an exotic
garden. Enjoy a cosmopolitan atmosphere where Niki and Chris welcome
you to their avant garde home. The style throughout is clean and
modern, sandy shades and tones with bright splashes of a nascent
art collection. Lezard Bleu is well known for bountiful breakfasts
which may be enjoyed under umbrellas on the terrace, or on a big
table, half inside, half out where a huge sliding door open onto
the sunny deck. Five double bedrooms all with king size beds and
a family room with two king size beds and lots of space. All bedrooms
are en suite. Solid maple wood bed frames and furniture, teak floors,
white pure cotton and underfloor heating in the bathrooms. Each
room has its own door out to the patios, palms and 10 x 5 m pool.
The Tree Room which sleeps 2 is situated a separate timber house
high above the ground, between huge palm trees, offering guests
unspoiled views over the city and harbour. The large swimming pool
is unfenced with surrounding timber deck. Smoking is permitted outside.
Free ADSL Internet connection and an iMac only for guests. Fax access.
Telephone in each room. Airport transfers can be arranged. Secure
on street parking. Wheelchair access in and around the house, but
limited access in bathrooms.
Directions to accommodation
From the airport you take the N 2 in direction City,
towards the back of Table Mountain, apprx. 8 km, first still a
few squatter camps (Crossroads) at your left, passing the power
plant, townships and golf courses. Below the green slopes of Devil\'s
Peak, take the two right lanes direction City, the road is ascending
and on your right hand side you\'ll see the Groote Schuur Hospital.
Change to the 2 far-left lanes, to come onto the De Waal Drive
(M 3). Signed is Vredehoek / City (Cable Way) You drive now 2
km on the slope of Devil\'s Peak, enjoying the view over Table
Bay, Harbour and City. At the first houses to your left a sign
reminds you to
decrease speed at max. 60 km/h, you better do so, as there are
often radar controls. In the next curve, after a graffiti wall,
just before the flyover you take the left-hand exit. M 3 Camps
Bay-Cable Way. Going straight while
passing the Gardens Centre, the only high house around. In front
of the Gardens Centre before the traffic light take the left lane.
Drive straight now, (passing Feds DIY, Chemist and Asian Kitchen
Restaurant) don\'t follow
the main road. On your left appears Holiday Inn Garden Court and
on the following T-junction you are already in Upper Orange Street.
In case you remained on Annandale Road turn on the church left,
and you are also in
Upper Orange Street. Turn left and drive towards the mountain,
pretty far up. After a few street entries you\'ll find a little
Deli-Café (Carlucci´s) and on the corner of Montrose
Avenue a big white house. Go a few meter
further up and you will see the lizard on a blue wall. Please
use the intercom at the little gate. Welcome !
