Liberty Lodge is one of the best loved Inns in the Cape Town. Expect a funky mix of deco and contemporary elements from this lovely, warm-hearted house which has had numerous character-changes through-out it's colourful 100-plus history! Built in 1897 as a town house for a Victorian gentleman, it has seen service as a family home, fabric emporium and even (in the 1940's) a bordello! Now it welcomes guests to lavishly decorated rooms all with access either to great views (some with direct terrace access) or to a magical courtyard (featured in international courtyard garden publications). The house is decorated in a playful, classic style which has won the hearts of many a traveller over the 10 years of it's existence.

Situated in one of the oldest residential areas of the city, 5 minutes drive from Table Mountain the C. T. International Convention Centre and the V&A Waterfront and 10 minutes drive some of the most beautiful breaches in the world Liberty is ideally placed for business or holiday visits. Kloof Street, the city's 'restaurant Mecca' is two short blocks away and the city centre an easy downhill stroll. Jimmy van Tonder, the owner is always happy to offer personal advice about local attractions and the many secrets of the city on offer. Pure cotton linen, warmest hospitality in the city, amazing value! A generous breakfast is included in the rates. Transfers and car hire are routinely arranged for guests.

Directions to accommodation
Follow signs to Table Mountain Cableway until you reach Kloof Nek Road (Tamboerskloof Pharmacy etc). Continue up Kloof Nek Road counting streets on your left. The fifth street is de Lorentz Street. Turn Left and
stop immediately. The Lodge is on your right.
