The Upper Deck in Gordon's Bay near Cape Town, South Africa,
offers fine self-catering accommodation or vacation rentals for
up to 6 guests in a 2 bedroom apartment (the whole top floor)
and is situated against the impressive mountain behind Gordon's
Bay.
The apartment has beautiful panoramic views over the sea and
mountains from all the rooms and the decks upstairs. Across the
blue ocean waters of False Bay, famous Table Mountain above Cape
Town resembles a sleeping giant and provides the perfect back-drop
for unforgettable sunsets while you sip cocktails or prepare a
sumptuous Weber barbecue on the top floor deck.
The en-suite family room has a queen size double bed and 2 single
beds, full en-suite bathroom with bath and shower and opens onto
its own sundeck with sea views.
The main bedroom with en-suite shower bathroom has a queen size
bed with own sundeck with stunning views over the sea and mountains
Facilities at The Upper Deck consist of a fully equipped open-plan
kitchen, dining room and spacious lounge with air-conditioning
leading onto a large wooden deck and 3 charming, individually
decorated double bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. The upstairs
main bedroom suite and second luxury room (both with queen-size
beds) open onto their own sundecks with sweeping views. The downstairs
bedroom suite (2 twin beds plus single bed) leads onto the garden.
Secure off-street and garage parking is available. The house
is serviced once a week (fresh towels and linen) and extra service
can be arranged. Facilities include colour TV (M-Net), CD player,
Internet link, radio clocks, hairdryers, heaters, ceiling fans,
heated towel rails, outdoor furniture, 2 extra sleeper chairs
for children and an information corner with brochures. The house
has been lovingly decorated and comes with homely touches such
as books, artefacts, magazines, fresh flowers, fruit and a welcoming
bottle of wine. Unwind in comfort and style and return home refreshed
and recharged!
The Upper Deck is 1 km or 5 minutes walk from the restaurants,
supermarkets, shops and safe swimming main beach in Gordon's Bay;
10 min. drive from the white sandy beaches of the Strand; half
an hours ' drive from the Cape Town Airport; 40 min. from Cape
Town Central and the V&A Waterfront; 15 min. from the Somerset
West and Stellenbosch winelands and on the whale route (from August
till December) along the scenic coastal drive to Hermanus.
Directions to accommodation
Take the Gordon's Bay off-road from the N2 national road
(about 30 km from the Cape Town International Airport). Drive
past the Gordon's Bay Primary School, then turn left in Boundary
Road up toward the mountain
and right into Drommedaris Street.
