Set in the foothills of the magnificent Outeniqua Mountains near Mossel Bay & George, surrounded by the unspoiled beaches of the Indian Ocean, Botlierskop Private Game Reserve ensures a truly unique safari experience. The reserve is situated on a 2400ha game farm and is comprised of over 23 different species of animals and a wide variety of birds. Wildlife at the reserve includes the rare black Impala, Rhino, Lion, Buffalo, Giraffe, Mountain Zebra, Eland and over 200 different bird species including the Knysna Loerie, Fish Eagle, Bittern and Narina Trogon.

Botlierskop is easily accessible from Cape Town, a 4 hour scenic drive and lies in the world renowned Garden Route, just off the N2. The reserve is set in a malaria-free area and is in close proximity to George Airport, a 25 minute drive.

Day activities at Botlierskop include luxury 4x4 game drives, adventurous quad biking through indigenous fynbos, rugged mountain terrain and diverse habitats. This unique 4x4 drive in an open vehicle or quad bike, is a stimulating mix of bush craft and exciting game viewing for the outdoor enthusiast. For those who love the simpler things in life, we also offer guided nature walks, packed with information and breathtaking scenery.

Each of the 8 luxury-tented suites at Botlierskop is elegantly decorated in a romantic colonial theme with 4-poster beds draped with mosquito nets. The en-suite bathrooms are lavishly equipped with deep baths and stunning views.

All tented suites are equipped with a mini bar, telephone, personal ranger service and most have their own private jetty from which guests can try their hands at fishing. High raised wooden walkways connect each of the tents to the restaurant and lounge area. The Fireplace Restaurant provides guests with authentic South African meals, served in an ambient setting.

Game Drives
Experience close encounters with rhinoceros, lion, buffalo, giraffe, rare
black impala and many more species in an exhilarating three-hour guided
drive in an open vehicle.

Nature Walk
The Nature Walk consists of a two-hour guided walk through divers habitats
such as riverine forest, marshy areas, fynbos and grassy plains.

Quad Biking
Guided 2,5 hour quad bike drive offers and exciting experience through
beautiful fynbos, rocky mountains and scenic valleys.

Elephant Experience
Experience the African Thrill on elephant back - a unigue first for the
Garden Route. We offer elephant back rides, picnic among the elephants and
informational excursions.

Luxury Accommodation
Eight luxury tented suites on private wooden decks, which have breathtaking
views of the river and tranquil mountainous surroundings and elegantly
decorated in colonial style with four-poster beds and mosquito nets.

Traditional Cuisine
You can indulge in our renowned traditional buffet, serving true South
African cuisine with a modern twist. The large open-air deck, overlooking
the valleys, is an ideal place to relax and view the splendour of nature,

±4km ahead: go over causeway,
200m after causeway, turn Right at our brown Botlierskop signboard, onto the
Gannakraal road.

± 4km on Gonnakraal road, see earthdam on right,
turn Right after earthdam at white pillar gate: Botlierskop

Pass the following exit:
- Hartenbos (Exit 397)

Take the Klein Brakrivier / Little Brak River (Exit 401)
Turn Left at STOP
