Laze in the warm winter sun at the pool deck, hike around the 25ha farm or meditate in one of the Oak Groves. Enjoy the sights & sounds of the resident birds & have your bird book & binoculars ready to identify those flocks of birds that utilise our valley as their highway out of Stanford, such as the oft\' seen Blue Crane, being the national bird of South Africa, and Spurwinged Geese to mention just two. An early walk around the farm is often rewarded with a close sighting of the Kori Bustard or Jackal Buzzard. Everything you need and the kitchen sink is provided, however, ahould you need a break from self-catering, breakfast or lunch at highly renowned Mariana\'s is an unique treat or dine at any one of the choice country restaurants that abound in Stanford these days. An easy drive to nearby De Kelders, Gansbaai or Hermanus can also provide a wonderful array of culinary and other delights, including whale watching from June - Dec, shark-cage diving or fishing. The adjacent Salmonsdam Nature Reserve, the Klein River Cheese Factory, Raka Wine Esatate and the Birkenhead Brewery all offer guests staying at Oak Grove Farm the opportunity to really enjoy the full country experience. The African Horse Co, offering hourly, daily and multi-day horse riding experiences in this Fynbos-rich coastal area and The African Queen, which travels the lower section of the Klein River, will make your visit to the Heart of the Overberg truly memorable.

Directions to accommodation
OAK GROVE FARM is situated less than 2 hours SE of Cape Town. From Cape Town International Airport, follow the N2 National Road towards Caledon and George. Go over Sir Lowry\'s Pass and then after coming down from the Houw Hoek Pass, take the next offramp onto the R43 towards Hermanus. Continue through Hermanus, following the signs to Stanford. Turn left at the entrance of Stanford onto the R326. continue for almost 5 km's and then take the gravel road to the right which is signposted Salmonsdam, Elim. Drive for another 5 km\'s toward the hills. On the left hand side you will see the entrance gates to OAK GROVE FARM.
