Tides River Lodge lies right on the banks of the Breede River near Malgas, in the Cape. Zebra Lodge, Cobb Cottage, Heron House and the Boat house. All these have river views, verandas, braai facilities, indoor fireplaces ( not Boat House ) and fully equipped kitchens. A short two and a half hour trip from Western Cape in the heart of the Overberg and half an hour from Swellendam. Privately owned, this peaceful haven is your ideal accommodation for birdwatching, fishing and watersports. For the energetic there is a slipway and private jetty so you can launch your own boat. Waterskiing and tubing is allowed on the river but jet skiing is not permitted. Nearby is a challenging 4 x 4 trail, De Hoop Nature Reserve, the Bontebok Park, the Pont at Malgas and whale watching at Cape Infanta.Tides is a real getaway destination. We provide everything for fishing trips and canoes are provided for sunrise birdwatching.

Directions to accommodation
Take the N2 from Western Cape just before Swellendam turn right at the "MALGAS / INFANTA" sign. Continue on the gravel road for approximately 40 kms and turn left at the "Lemoentuin" sign. Take the first left hand turn throught a gate and follow the "TIDES" signs down to the river
