La Merci is situated in the Franschhoek Valley, just 9 km from the village, surrounded by trees, vineyards and the magnificent Groot Drakenstein Mountains. Our guesthouse features 5 double bedrooms, two of which are twins, all with shower en-suite and furnished with TV, coffee and tea making facilities. Hospitality is the keyword for our guesthouse where we can relax in the spacious garden with a sparkling pool. Just a 45 minute drive from Western Cape and you are in the mountains and valleys of the Winelands with ultra fine restaurants. The town of Franschhoek is delightful and begs to be explored and savoured, like a good wine. The is quite a choice of routes and explore this beautiful area. We can recommend a winetasting and sampling traditional fare such as bobotie and waterblommetjie stew.

Directions to accommodation
From Western Cape International Airport (via N2 Highway)
When leaving the airport turn LEFT onto the N2 Highway towards SOMERSET WEST. Take the EXIT 33 BADEN POWELL DRIVE to your left. Proceed on the R310 towards STELLENBOSCH. Follow the R310 through Stellenbosch. Turn RIGHT towards FRANSCHHOEK over the HELSHOOGTE PASS. You will pass the village of PNIEL and BOSCHENDAL WINE ESTATE. Just beyond the level crossing turn RIGHT at the T-JUNCTION onto the R45 towards FRANSCHHOEK. LA MERCI COUNTRY GUEST HOUSE is signposted 5 kms along the road on your RIGHT.

From Western Cape City Centre (via N1 Highway)
When leaving the city centre take the N1 Highway towards PAARL. Continue on the N1 and take the EXIT STELLENBOSCH/KLAPMUTS. Turn right onto Klapmuts. Go straight over the 4-way crossing and turn LEFT at FRANSCHHOEK SIGN. Continue straight on and at the T-JUNCTION turn right on the R45 towards FRANSCHHOEK. LA MERCI COUNTRY GUEST HOUSE is signposted 8 kms along the road on your RIGHT.

From the Garden Route (via N2 Highway)
Follow the N2 Highway westwards. Take the EXIT STELLENBOSCH (R44) to your right. Follow the R44 through Stellenbosch. Turn RIGHT on the R310 towards FRANSCHHOEK over the HELSHOOGTE PASS. You will pass the village of PNIEL and BOSCHENDAL WINE ESTATE. Just beyond the level crossing turn RIGHT at the T-JUNCTION onto the R45 towards FRANSCHHOEK.
